Creation options

Control dependency installation, Git initialization, and supported starter choices when creating an application.

The quickstart uses the default minimal starter. Use these options when another tool owns installation or repository initialization.

Supported choices

The packaged capability table currently offers the certified minimal template with examples, no jobs service, no cloud, and no deployment adapter. Interactive and headless creation use the same table. Explicit unsupported combinations fail before staging or installation.

Interactive creation asks for a missing project name and confirms the destination before writing. Git initializes by default; pass --no-git to disable it.

Add capabilities later with application scaffolding. See the CLI reference for every creation option.

Install dependencies separately

Pass --no-install when another tool owns installation. Then run the workflow printed by the generator from the new project directory:

bun install
bunx --no-install relkit dev --prepare

Preparation validates the installed project, writes a development snapshot, and exits without opening backend or Inspector ports. On the next bun run dev, RELKIT verifies that snapshot against the current source, dependencies, toolchain, and runtime environment before starting.

Add only the capabilities you use

The starter installs the application facade, CLI, and generic test tooling. Database and authentication adapters, agent engines, provider SDKs, exporters, optional HTTP protocols, and the Inspector are selected later.

relkit add normally installs the requirements it selects. When copying example files manually, complete the module’s installation and configuration steps first. Keep application-owned overrides and patches supplied by those instructions.
